rain rain go away...

and it's gloomy...why!!!!! i see all the pretty little trees wanting to come out and play...and the whole week is suppose to be yuck!? so sad....

well until the weather is cooperative...i am boycotting the outdoors...dreaming of summer days on sunny beaches with sunglasses and big hats.

on that note...can someone please tell me where i can find a cute swim suit cover up like this....

for less then its $114 price tag!? ouch... but seriously, doesn't its cuteness make you feel like you just want to skip out onto a secluded beach somewhere!? hmm....

happy late easter all! bb and i spent the weekend in idaho enjoying some much needed time with his familia...easter weekend was full of fun adventures including the titanic exhibit at the idaho falls museum...dinner out with the bushes...ice cream with skyler and becky and easter sunday madness! needless to say we are very thankful to have billy's family close enough to spend quick holidays with them! :)

on a side note...when we left our home in utah for the weekend it was still yucky outside and i must say i wasn't feelin' the whole spring time thing...i was longing to see some pretty colors and green grass, starting to get a little depressed...and then....when i got into work this morning i was so excited because the trees outside my office were in bloom just for me! :) YAY for spring! so now i'm happy as can be on this sunny monday morning and thought i would share some of my blooms with you...in case you haven't seen any for yourself yet....

too tired to eat chocolate...

today is the official three year anniversary of bb's proposal...

he proposed on good friday, right before midnight...

he hid the ring in one of these little babies....

our courtship took place over a series of months switching off between idaho falls and salt lake city...

i went up to idaho for easter weekend....

he lied to me and said the ring wouldn't be in for two more weeks...

i was hoping that he was lying but didn't want to get my hopes up....

he was so excited that he couldn't even wait til the morning to ask me....

i was zonked...and completely oblivious....

he had to eat the chocolate easter eggs himself because i was too tired for chocolate...

he asked me to unwrap one for him...

still oblivious....i handed the unwrapped egg back...

he asked me to open it...

subsequently thought...oh my gosh...seriously?

pulled out the ring...and thought to myself....too tired to eat chocolate...of all the nights to be too tired to eat chocolate!!!!!

bb popped the question...even though he already knew my answer...and we all know the ending to this little story....

so bb and i have been very busy with our previously discussed art project :) and have a few fun items to post...mostly because my mother asked me to...and a little so you can laugh along with us ;)...don't mind that mine looks a little like a five year old's attempt...hehe maybe when we have kids i can hang my art and pass it off as theirs when i am too embarrassed to admit it's mine!

billy has been a lot more diligent with this project...he has completed three already and is working on his fourth...i on the other hand scribbled out two in two days and...haven't really touched the little studio of ours since... :/

on a side note though, just so you don't think i am a complete waste of creative space :) my mother in law teresa lent me her beautiful sewing machine! it was her first when she was 17 and i am super excited to be able to play around on it! i have been wanting one for a while now...and so hopefully i will be able to really get creative with it!

borderline bad people...

so in the april fool's tradition of mean pranks....i thought i would pull a little something on my parentals. every time we see them the inevitable, "so when will we be grandparents?" question comes up....and so i thought i should play into it....(note: we did not do this to bill and teresa...billy thought it was TOO mean) anyway so this morning around 830am i sent out the following text...

we just wanted to send some love to the newest grandparents in town! you will be able to see the newest little member of our family come oct 6th. (we made up that date and everything hehe)

and then i waited....approximately 30 seconds...before i was flooded with texts and calls from all sides....at first i laughed and thought...hey hey this is a good one...maybe i should drag it out for a couple hours until i got the following text back....

step mom: OMG!!! I just got the chills. I'm at the dr but i'm calling you when i get out...i'm crying!

and a voicemail that went something like this from my mom: "oh honey! i am so excited for you and billy! congrats! oh, i'm crying...."

needless to say the tears brought my little prank to an end and i had to give it up...i immediately sent out another text with april fools blasted across it...and although they laughed...i think this little joke of mine went over a bit too well :/ ....and now i have the parentals primed and ready for the real thing...uh oh...

so all in all i got a good laugh...until the tears came out....i started to feel kinda bad and the following message was sent....

step dad: you are borderline bad people

hahahahaha....well at least we know the parents are ready when we are! :)

is it so wrong...?

have i mentioned yet that i am a night owl? and that billy is, well, not.... :) unless it is of course a weekend and then we are both late nighters...but, this has well, proven to be a bit of a problemo... cause bb has a very strict schedule to stick to...in bed, lights out no later then 10 MAYBE 1030...or he gets a bit, well, grumpy...shhh....he wakes himself up at 6am to get started on his morning reading before he starts working...can we say discipline? um ya....my schedule consists of avoiding any kind of schedule....and so monday through friday around 10pm we find ourselves here....

bb: babe, are you ready to read scriptures...
me: um...(quick think of a subject change)...hunny what do you want to do tomorrow night...
bb: oh i don't know, i know i want to go to bed tonight though
me: (shoot he caught on) ok well we should really take lyric for a walk you know
bb: ya...or we could sell her
me: (ugh) um well, let's watch a movie! please pretty please...(big puppy dog eyes)
bb: tonya...i need to go to bed...
me: but babe! im not tired!
bb: don't you want to have a husband who wants to better himself? if i don't go to bed then i won't wake up in time to do anything before i work...
me: i love sleeping in with you though, i love waking up with you still next to me...
bb: babe...that's what weekends are for....scriptures?
me: (dang) ok fine...but i'm watching tv after....

i turn on tv....billy turns down tv until no one but a dog could hear it....an hour later i am half asleep...tv is still on...billy turns off tv...i wake up and can't go back to sleep without my background noise....

i know i know i am totally the bad influence in this situation but is it so wrong to want to enjoy every second of every evening before i have to start it all over again?! ;)

so bb has been begging for a new camera...but not just any camera....the slr...

i'll be honest here and admit i was never against the idea of this new camera but the price tag has kept us at bay for a little while yet...but then i saw these photos taken by my beautiful cousin who is getting into photography and right away i thought, i really do need that slr... :)

i think i might frame my new fun finds in bb's office makeover that we will get to....someday....and every day from now until i finally break down you will probably be able to find me drooling and googling slr cameras.... ::sigh::

on a side note....well done ash!

home sweet home....

billy is oh so sick...poor guy....

last week billy went to tahoe and i flew out to see my familia in southern california. while billy worked worked worked and wore himself to the point of immune system fall out i played played played....and i must say i do miss my california...i got to see lots of good friends and tons of family while i was away from the hubby and although i missed him every single day it was definitely nice to be able to take my mind off of things and enjoy company i rarely get to see!

so now we are both home...with each other....and oh how nice that is....but poor bb is soooo warn out....hopefully he gets better soon so we can play! :)

on a side note...the beloved animal in our house spent the week with her grandparents in idaho(THANK YOU!)...and well mom was a little worried that she might freeze her butt off being outside so we couldn't resist making her look absolutely ridiculous....

bb and i decided to bring out our creative sides..well, billy actually decided, but i have been wanting to do this for a while so i am really excited...tonight we went to hobby lobby and splurged a little on art supplies...we decided that we both wanted to try acrylic painting...just for a fun outlet...neither of us have extensive experience in this department :) but we figured why not have some fun and be creative....so here is our new art project...tonight we put together the little studio in bb's office....

hopefully things will be up and running soon and we will have some real projects to post...if nothing else we will definitely get a good laugh out of this little adventure! billy and i both are into modern/abstract art so we are hoping someday we can be like....

on saturday BB and i had to be at a birthday bash downtown at a piano bar...new and different experience...but a lot of fun! we had reservations at a table...ordered pizza and listened to two pianists duel and play audience requests all night...the whole audience really got into it and everyone was singing and having a great time...

so so sad to say... billy has recently decided that he is going on a business trip to lake tahoe...for one whole week! :( i was distraught...what would i do with myself for a whole week without the hubsy? visions of sleepless nights and lonely me in our king size bed kept creeping up inside, i had anxiety just thinking about it, and then...

i thought about this.... and then this....

and then this....

and then this...

and of course this....

and realized what i HAD to do with my week...i'm goin' to cali :) and i am soooooo excited to be able to go...bumming that BB won't be there with me...but there is nothin' better then spending time with family and good friends when you can't be with the hubsy right!?

seriously...

so today at 2:30 i had my visiting teaching appointments to be to straight after work. well, i made some brownies the night before and left them on my kitchen counter so they wouldn't melt while in the car at work. i headed straight home from work...pulled into the garage...stuck my keys and my phone in my purse...PAUSED, thought: i will leave my purse in my car because i am just going in to get the brownies....picked up 4 plates of brownies (hands full) reached for my car door....and...oh, its LOCKED! and there is my purse, with my keys and my cell phone (which happened to have all of the numbers of both my partner, and the girls i visit) sitting on the passenger seat of my car....and oh BB was NOT at home....

needless to say i spent the next 45 minutes borrowing the neighbors phone...trying to track down my partner, with no luck, calling billy to come home, so i could selfishly steal his car.... :) and shoving a wire hanger down through my car door to no avail!

BB got home at 3:15 at which time i took the keys out of his hands...jumped in his car and yelled "GOOD LUCK!" as i drove to my last appointment...i finally caught up with everyone and the brownies all got delivered....thank goodness....but i honestly had to sit down, reflect and laugh....because, well, this isn't a random occurrence, in fact i do this on quite a regular basis and NO I DO NOT HAVE A SPARE KEY! but hopefully i will tomorrow...lesson learned...i hope :/

but seriously....would you expect anything different from me? seriously?

THE little THINGS...

the other night BB and i ran some errands and then stopped at the gas station on our way home to get him a soda! he loves to stop at the gas station because they have a soda bar and so he can add any flavor he wants to his sodas…it’s a special treat for him! anyway, as we sat there in the gas station line, i realized that this is totally something we would have done when we were dating….before marriage….and that made me think of how lucky i am to be married to my hubsy. i love being able to go out with him every night…anytime i want…i love being able to spend time with him and wake up with him, i love it when he dances with me while we are waiting for our dinner... and then all of a sudden it was like we were dating again….and my heart started to pitter patter…and i couldn’t help but think how much i love this man. how lucky am i!? funny, the little things in life...

yay for summer weddings!!!

we just wanted to give a shout out to billy's little brother jordan and his new fiance lindsey! joe and lindsey were officially engaged last weekend, although we were all very much expecting it for a little while now... billy and i are so excited for them, and i do believe the bush padres are very much as well!

we are also excited to be gaining another married couple in the family and we LOVE lindsey! yay for joe for doing it the bush way and keeping up with his dad and brother! :)

so CONGRATS to them!!! and yay for summer time weddings!

dum da dum dum...

So yesterday I got home from work ready to do some cleaning...The in-laws are coming in for the weekend and we are excited! :) but this is what I came home to....

And then I looked a little closer...and realized our beloved animal had chewed off the ends on about 6 of the lower blinds...needless to say new blinds are in order...

Every time I come home to this sort of thing the first thing I hear from Billy's mouth is..."she would go in a heart beat if we put her on KSL"...haha :/

...and then I have to lovingly remind him that that's not going to happen....although I think that after 3 shredded beds, three ruined doors, massacred carpets, chewed up wicker furniture and now the blinds...it was a little harder to say no this time...

We love her...I promise we love her....UGH!

On a lighter note....How excited am i that In N Out Burger is coming to Draper! SO SO EXCITED! I am already craving a double double and their oh so delicious frenchies! Love it!
