have i mentioned yet that i am a night owl? and that billy is, well, not.... :) unless it is of course a weekend and then we are both late nighters...but, this has well, proven to be a bit of a problemo... cause bb has a very strict schedule to stick to...in bed, lights out no later then 10 MAYBE 1030...or he gets a bit, well, grumpy...shhh....he wakes himself up at 6am to get started on his morning reading before he starts working...can we say discipline? um ya....my schedule consists of avoiding any kind of schedule....and so monday through friday around 10pm we find ourselves here....
me: um...(quick think of a subject change)...hunny what do you want to do tomorrow night...
bb: oh i don't know, i know i want to go to bed tonight though
me: (shoot he caught on) ok well we should really take lyric for a walk you know
bb: ya...or we could sell her
me: (ugh) um well, let's watch a movie! please pretty please...(big puppy dog eyes)
bb: tonya...i need to go to bed...
me: but babe! im not tired!
bb: don't you want to have a husband who wants to better himself? if i don't go to bed then i won't wake up in time to do anything before i work...
me: i love sleeping in with you though, i love waking up with you still next to me...
bb: babe...that's what weekends are for....scriptures?
me: (dang) ok fine...but i'm watching tv after....
read scriptures and say prayers
i turn on tv....billy turns down tv until no one but a dog could hear it....an hour later i am half asleep...tv is still on...billy turns off tv...i wake up and can't go back to sleep without my background noise....
i know i know i am totally the bad influence in this situation but is it so wrong to want to enjoy every second of every evening before i have to start it all over again?! ;)

ReplyDeletei love this post tonya. it made me laugh so hard.. billy is SO diligent at being on a schedule.. good boy! If you are ever up in the night and can't sleep call me ha ha. I am a huge night owl, always have been! Seriously, I am never ever in bed before midnight, even the days I have to be at work by 7... I just can't go to bed early, it doesn't feel right!

Just wait 'till you have kids...You will be willing to got to bed with it still light outside if it means you'll get any sleep!
ReplyDeleteOh man...sounds just like us! Aaron has to wake up at 5 and I don't get up until almost 9...so I chill by myself for like 3 hours after he goes to bed. At least Billy lets you turn on the tv in your room, I have to go out to the living room!!! Ha. Are you guys coming to IF anytime soon?
