seriously...

so today at 2:30 i had my visiting teaching appointments to be to straight after work. well, i made some brownies the night before and left them on my kitchen counter so they wouldn't melt while in the car at work. i headed straight home from work...pulled into the garage...stuck my keys and my phone in my purse...PAUSED, thought: i will leave my purse in my car because i am just going in to get the brownies....picked up 4 plates of brownies (hands full) reached for my car door....and...oh, its LOCKED! and there is my purse, with my keys and my cell phone (which happened to have all of the numbers of both my partner, and the girls i visit) sitting on the passenger seat of my car....and oh BB was NOT at home....

needless to say i spent the next 45 minutes borrowing the neighbors phone...trying to track down my partner, with no luck, calling billy to come home, so i could selfishly steal his car.... :) and shoving a wire hanger down through my car door to no avail!

BB got home at 3:15 at which time i took the keys out of his hands...jumped in his car and yelled "GOOD LUCK!" as i drove to my last appointment...i finally caught up with everyone and the brownies all got delivered....thank goodness....but i honestly had to sit down, reflect and laugh....because, well, this isn't a random occurrence, in fact i do this on quite a regular basis and NO I DO NOT HAVE A SPARE KEY! but hopefully i will tomorrow...lesson learned...i hope :/

but seriously....would you expect anything different from me? seriously?

THE little THINGS...

the other night BB and i ran some errands and then stopped at the gas station on our way home to get him a soda! he loves to stop at the gas station because they have a soda bar and so he can add any flavor he wants to his sodas…it’s a special treat for him! anyway, as we sat there in the gas station line, i realized that this is totally something we would have done when we were dating….before marriage….and that made me think of how lucky i am to be married to my hubsy. i love being able to go out with him every night…anytime i want…i love being able to spend time with him and wake up with him, i love it when he dances with me while we are waiting for our dinner... and then all of a sudden it was like we were dating again….and my heart started to pitter patter…and i couldn’t help but think how much i love this man. how lucky am i!? funny, the little things in life...

yay for summer weddings!!!

we just wanted to give a shout out to billy's little brother jordan and his new fiance lindsey! joe and lindsey were officially engaged last weekend, although we were all very much expecting it for a little while now... billy and i are so excited for them, and i do believe the bush padres are very much as well!

we are also excited to be gaining another married couple in the family and we LOVE lindsey! yay for joe for doing it the bush way and keeping up with his dad and brother! :)

so CONGRATS to them!!! and yay for summer time weddings!

dum da dum dum...

So yesterday I got home from work ready to do some cleaning...The in-laws are coming in for the weekend and we are excited! :) but this is what I came home to....

And then I looked a little closer...and realized our beloved animal had chewed off the ends on about 6 of the lower blinds...needless to say new blinds are in order...

Every time I come home to this sort of thing the first thing I hear from Billy's mouth is..."she would go in a heart beat if we put her on KSL"...haha :/
...and then I have to lovingly remind him that that's not going to happen....although I think that after 3 shredded beds, three ruined doors, massacred carpets, chewed up wicker furniture and now the blinds...it was a little harder to say no this time...

We love her...I promise we love her....UGH!

On a lighter note....How excited am i that In N Out Burger is coming to Draper! SO SO EXCITED! I am already craving a double double and their oh so delicious frenchies! Love it!

The worst sound in the world....

On Saturday morning Billy and I woke up to begin the BB Birthday celebrations by driving down to Salt Lake to grab breakfast at the amazing Park Cafe! (It is a favorite treat) It was a nice day and we were excited! We slowed down as Billy put on his blinker to make a left hand turn onto the street that holds this amazing restaurant...when we hear....
The Worst sound EVER! The loudest screeching of brakes on cement I have ever heard just milliseconds before we hear CRUNCH....We both looked at each other dumbfounded and I think I was the first to speak...
me: "really?"
Billy: "ya, that sucks"
me: "really?"
That is when we turned around to see a Rav4 who had apparently not been paying attention to the fact that we were waiting to turn, and had slammed, without much pause, right into the back of our little black car....
Everyone was and is fine....including the driver of the Rav...our car has some serious damage to the rear but is still completely drivable thank goodness....however, the Rav didn't make it out too well....The radiator fluid was flooding 13th south and it had to be towed away... sad.
You would think at this point we would have thrown in the towel on the Birthday Bash for BB but no....we had driven all the way down town and we weren't giving up our favorite breakfast spot without a fight! so I left the scene of the accident...(i know I know...but I told Billy to tell the cop why) ran across the street and put our name down on the list so that when all was said and done, police reports had been filed, we could walk right over and enjoy the world's best breakfast without a wait! :) Oh and it was good!
The car is driving fine and we were released of liability....but it can't get into the body shop until Monday...so until then, if you see us driving around in this....

Just know...Park was SO worth it!

Hi, is this the post office!?

um ya....so this post is dedicated to the West Jordan Post Office.....

Those of you that have known me for the last year or so will remember my cell message that stated at the end....

"If you are trying to reach the post office, you have dialed incorrectly, PLEASE don't leave a message..."

The above sentence was necessary because well, for as long as I have had my cell number I have gotten mis-dialers leaving messages for who? the one and only West Jordan Post Office...In the last year or so however, the calls increased pretty dramatically...I am talking like 1 a day here... and so the above sentence came into play on my cell phone message.

The calls did slow however, and so the message was removed....

Beginning yesterday...they began again...this time however, it was job seekers looking for an opportunity to spend their 40 hours a week at the amazing...West Jordan Post Office....I got two phone calls yesterday...one of which so kindly informed me that MY number was the one posted on the Department of Workforce Services Website for who to contact to inquire about a post office position in lovely West Jordan....

Will it EVER End!!!!!!?????

This post would like to thank the amazing Whitney Cameron for its birth.
