announcing....

baby #1...due february 3rd!!! we are so excited to finally be able to share our news with everyone! billy and i found out that we are expecting our first little one about 7 weeks ago...and it's been quite difficult to keep the news underwraps...so just so that everyone knows...we wanted to post a little note on our blog!

although we were trying we were still very surprised by our little newbie...i took the test honestly expecting a negative result but was very caught off guard when the extra little line showed up!

since billy didn't even know i was taking the test...he was pretty surprised himself when he came home to an "i love daddy" bib!

we had our second ultrasound today and everything looks great with our little one...you could see the make out of its little face and the hands and feet were flailing away! it's little heart beat looks really strong and the doc looked very pleased with how everything was moving along, and we are definitely excited and relieved to know everything is looking good! we measured 11 weeks and 1 day today!

here is a little view of our little one....sorry about the quality...it's a little hard to transfer from paper to the computer!

billy and i feel so blessed and humbled and absolutely can't wait until next month when we find out if it's going to be a little me or a little him! :) we shall see!

poo update...

because i was noticing i haven't been updating much about the poo...

i thought i would throw in a couple of tidbits....
our most recent adventure included taking lyric to the vet...oh yes...don't get me started on how excited bb was about this whole experience...our pooper had an ear infection, in both ears, and some sort of yeast infection in her feet? don't ask how that happens...i have no idea! needless to say $332 later we walked out of the vet with poo...3 prescription drugs...one ear ointment...and billy's plan to post our little pupster on ksl was zoomed to the top of his to do list....

after some reasoning though, and the realization that deep down inside...he really loves his little pup....(just don't mention that part to him), lyric is still safe and sound at home...happily healing from all of her ailments....the cause of such ailments you ask? i believe to be allergies! yes i guess dogs get those too....and so instead of a vet...who apparently needed money....we have decided to try benadryl for our pup if her symptoms decide to return....

oh the joys of pup ownership! on a side note...lately lyric has been following me around the house incessantly...if i sit down...she sits down....not next to me though...not on the floor by me...no in my lap...yes that's right...my lap...she walks straight over to me does a little circle and plops her little behind right down on my lap....its ridiculous...not to mention impossible to get the laundry done anymore....but i can't complain...i love that she is so cuddly...

so keep your fingers crossed for us that we keep her little issues under control and we can say later on...oh our dog wasn't too bad, we only took her to the vet once!!...wishful thinking never hurts! haha

because it is june and june means summer....things we love about summer...

california dreamin'...

we did a lot of cruisin' around the santa barbara/ventura area when we were in cali....we went with some friends from utah...cassi, alan and little chloe (she's one)...

we stayed at my family's beach house....

we didn't take this picture...in fact we took pictures of everything...except the actual house...so i borrowed this from the house's mls listing...(it was for sale but no longer as of tomorrow!) yay!

sunday stroll...

on sunday after church bb and i decided to take a stroll around downtown....partly because i love me some downtown....and partly because he loves his new fun camera....we both dreamt of the day we can continue our love affair with slc....(anyone want to rent out our little house in riverton?) ;)

although we can't be downtown all of the time, we sure do love our time down there...we made sure to take some good pics....

on wednesday we will be heading to california....and i am sure we will get some more photo time in then....yay for slr's... (and a little bit of photoshop...shhh...)

cotton jones...

blog stalking again this morning....found a fun new band....cotton jones....kind of old school...actually really quite old school....say sixties/seventies era(just in sound)....but i kinda like them....

and i wouldn't mind having her fun little outfit!

one of those days...

have you ever had one of those days where it takes practically everything that you have to be able to keep your eyelids from shutting and whisking you off into a glorious little afternoon nap....? today is one of those days for me....in fact i might just pass out right here right now on my little cubicle's desk...shhh....

the husband calls me ridiculous...

ok, well, i call me ridiculous too...and maybe a tad bit obsessive compulsive...

i am currently in the process of repainting our living room for the third time since we moved in in September of 2007...and yes i do swatches...but a swatch vs. a whole room is a very different thing....so here i am...trying to see if this color will finally be the one that says home to me...and i am freaking out a little because i promised myself...and my poor husband...that this will be the last time....for a while....that this room sees a new coat of paint....so i have to like this color!!! and i have about ten different swatches up on the walls...all different walls mind you because the lighting in the lower level of our home is horrible and colors change dramatically throughout the day...and i can't decide if this is it! so my living room is a bit of a mess...and my walls are all splotchy...and i am afraid of myself...haha....so don't worry if you see our lights on at 2am....it wouldn't be the first time i have driven myself nuts over this little situation of ours.... :)

disco roller wedding madness...

last weekend i flew out on a quick trip to california to attend my cousin's wedding in santa barbara....

nothin' better then squishing your toes in the sand on your wedding day...

don't they just make the cutest little family ever! and billy went disco roller skating to celebrate a good friend's birthday....

so much fun...but i am getting sick of this being apart stuff...

ooo la la....

so billy literally jumped up and down today with joy over the arrival of his new best friend....the canon rebel xsi.....i must say though...i jumped up and down a little too....because once i took my first shot with our new baby i seriously thought: where have you been all of my life!

photos that would have been nothing special prior to our new toy all of a sudden took on a whole new light! and every picture seemed more and more magnificent...i am in love.
