ooo la la....

so billy literally jumped up and down today with joy over the arrival of his new best friend....the canon rebel xsi.....i must say though...i jumped up and down a little too....because once i took my first shot with our new baby i seriously thought: where have you been all of my life!

photos that would have been nothing special prior to our new toy all of a sudden took on a whole new light! and every picture seemed more and more magnificent...i am in love.

big eyes + pouty lips = bad news...

funny...i know...this picture doesn't even do it justice either! it's ridiculously cute. needless to say i am in big trouble if our kidlets inherit this little ability.

the first time he gave me this look was when we were dating....and i immediately flashed back to the movie shrek...when the cat gives the same look!

uncanny...i know. oh i love him...

on a side note...last weekend we could be found laughing it up at the new wiseguys location at trolley square...lots of fun and fairly good food too!

hmmmm....

sometimes all i need is good food...the hubby....and a little bit of jazz....

and the world seems perfect again...

nutter butter spring cleaning madness...

last night billy and i went to the grocery store to grab chicken for dinner and root beer :) anyway, as i strolled down the snack isle my eyes got hold of an oh so delicious package of nutter butter cookies! i had to have them! and so this morning my breakfast consists of none other then my nutter butters...healthy i know! haha...

as of lately bb and i have been on a spring cleaning kick...well actually just me but you can bet i have been dragging him along on this crazy little ride of mine! :) since we have been blessed with this amazing weather up here in utah i have decided that it's time to take advantage of the four hours of after work daylight and sunshine we have right now...at least until it starts to snow again, ugh...anyway so monday we decided that our fhe (family home evening) project would consist of cleaning out our garage! yay! haha....anyway i started on it as soon as i got home from work and billy joined in as soon as he did and it only took us 1.5 hours! what!? yes and those of you who had seen our garage previously are probably saying the same thing...what!? :) it was a mess! and by mess i mean boxes from christmas presents....boxes from our dining room chairs....every sort of left over building material in the world and all of our odds and ends unorganized since the day we moved our little butts into our home. so...you can imagine my excitement now when i pull into my little garage and see everything organized and clean! anyway....we were surprised and proud of ourselves when we realized the job that we had finished in just a short 1.5 hours and so of course we had to reward ourselves with Mikado's happy hour half priced sushi menu! yum.

Our next project you ask? our backyard! which our beloved animal has ever so kindly turned into a dump...dirt and all.

lucky number 50...

today i realized how lucky i am to have a husband who still opens my car door for me, after almost three years of marriage :) (hopefully i'll still be lucky when we are celebrating 50!)

last weekend bb and i could be found road tripping up to idaho falls...it was lindsey's bridal shower! the wedding is only two months away!

on our way home from idaho bb and i decided that someday it might be nice to own a cabin up the alpine loop in utah....can you blame us for wanting to wake up to this view...?

rain rain go away...

and it's gloomy...why!!!!! i see all the pretty little trees wanting to come out and play...and the whole week is suppose to be yuck!? so sad....

well until the weather is cooperative...i am boycotting the outdoors...dreaming of summer days on sunny beaches with sunglasses and big hats.

on that note...can someone please tell me where i can find a cute swim suit cover up like this....

for less then its $114 price tag!? ouch... but seriously, doesn't its cuteness make you feel like you just want to skip out onto a secluded beach somewhere!? hmm....

happy late easter all! bb and i spent the weekend in idaho enjoying some much needed time with his familia...easter weekend was full of fun adventures including the titanic exhibit at the idaho falls museum...dinner out with the bushes...ice cream with skyler and becky and easter sunday madness! needless to say we are very thankful to have billy's family close enough to spend quick holidays with them! :)

on a side note...when we left our home in utah for the weekend it was still yucky outside and i must say i wasn't feelin' the whole spring time thing...i was longing to see some pretty colors and green grass, starting to get a little depressed...and then....when i got into work this morning i was so excited because the trees outside my office were in bloom just for me! :) YAY for spring! so now i'm happy as can be on this sunny monday morning and thought i would share some of my blooms with you...in case you haven't seen any for yourself yet....

too tired to eat chocolate...

today is the official three year anniversary of bb's proposal...

he proposed on good friday, right before midnight...

he hid the ring in one of these little babies....

our courtship took place over a series of months switching off between idaho falls and salt lake city...

i went up to idaho for easter weekend....

he lied to me and said the ring wouldn't be in for two more weeks...

i was hoping that he was lying but didn't want to get my hopes up....

he was so excited that he couldn't even wait til the morning to ask me....

i was zonked...and completely oblivious....

he had to eat the chocolate easter eggs himself because i was too tired for chocolate...

he asked me to unwrap one for him...

still oblivious....i handed the unwrapped egg back...

he asked me to open it...

subsequently thought...oh my gosh...seriously?

pulled out the ring...and thought to myself....too tired to eat chocolate...of all the nights to be too tired to eat chocolate!!!!!

bb popped the question...even though he already knew my answer...and we all know the ending to this little story....

so bb and i have been very busy with our previously discussed art project :) and have a few fun items to post...mostly because my mother asked me to...and a little so you can laugh along with us ;)...don't mind that mine looks a little like a five year old's attempt...hehe maybe when we have kids i can hang my art and pass it off as theirs when i am too embarrassed to admit it's mine!

billy has been a lot more diligent with this project...he has completed three already and is working on his fourth...i on the other hand scribbled out two in two days and...haven't really touched the little studio of ours since... :/

on a side note though, just so you don't think i am a complete waste of creative space :) my mother in law teresa lent me her beautiful sewing machine! it was her first when she was 17 and i am super excited to be able to play around on it! i have been wanting one for a while now...and so hopefully i will be able to really get creative with it!

borderline bad people...

so in the april fool's tradition of mean pranks....i thought i would pull a little something on my parentals. every time we see them the inevitable, "so when will we be grandparents?" question comes up....and so i thought i should play into it....(note: we did not do this to bill and teresa...billy thought it was TOO mean) anyway so this morning around 830am i sent out the following text...

we just wanted to send some love to the newest grandparents in town! you will be able to see the newest little member of our family come oct 6th. (we made up that date and everything hehe)

and then i waited....approximately 30 seconds...before i was flooded with texts and calls from all sides....at first i laughed and thought...hey hey this is a good one...maybe i should drag it out for a couple hours until i got the following text back....

step mom: OMG!!! I just got the chills. I'm at the dr but i'm calling you when i get out...i'm crying!

and a voicemail that went something like this from my mom: "oh honey! i am so excited for you and billy! congrats! oh, i'm crying...."

needless to say the tears brought my little prank to an end and i had to give it up...i immediately sent out another text with april fools blasted across it...and although they laughed...i think this little joke of mine went over a bit too well :/ ....and now i have the parentals primed and ready for the real thing...uh oh...

so all in all i got a good laugh...until the tears came out....i started to feel kinda bad and the following message was sent....

step dad: you are borderline bad people

hahahahaha....well at least we know the parents are ready when we are! :)
